Empires And Puzzles Trainer Hero

broken image

When it comes to mixing game genres, Small Giant Games certainly came up with a strong mixture. Specifically the genres of role-playing games (RPGs) and match 3 puzzles are used here. So now we have Empires & Puzzles: RPG Quest. The main aim is to build up your teams of heroes and use them to defeat various opponents. You do this via a match 3 puzzle game to attack with. At the same time, build up your city to support and improve your teams of heroes. But the real catch to it all is the randomness of the game. Yes, there're numerous strategies anyone can employ. However, with so much randomness built in, you can defeat higher level opponents.

One of the first things you'll notice is the overall speed of Empires & Puzzles: RPG Quest. If not, it will become clear pretty soon. The game was made that way. It was never meant to be a fast leveler or some race. The downside is that Empires & Puzzles: RPG Quest became accused of being a 'pay to win' game and/or having a 'pay wall'. The upside is that this was never the case. The game was made to make you take your time and choose well. But that tends to end in questions. What to upgrade and when to upgrade it? Which building do you build or upgrade more? When do you attempt to draw a hero? Which section do you try to draw from? Luckily for you, our Empires & Puzzles: RPG Quest strategies and tactics guide will help answer those questions.

1. Building Your City For More Gains

The question of what to build comes up a lot. Ultimately, it's your city so you are free to build it however you choose. The part you'll quickly run into is that you'll need more food compared to iron.

It might not seem like it at first, but when you compare things, there's definitely a higher need for food. As it turns out, Empires & Puzzles: RPG Quest relies more on food. That's why there're 5 Farms in the above screen shot and only 2 Mines. Later you can add more Mines and/or Farms as you see fit. You'll need the food to upgrade certain buildings but equally important is that you'll need food to train heroes from recruits, level and ascend heroes, craft battle items, and get involved in the Raids. The other part to this you must remember is that you won't build much without Iron Mines. So don't forget to build and upgrade them. And of course, the storage buildings for both too!

The layout of your territory in Empires & Puzzles: RPG Quest isn't so important. The other buildings inside it are! In the case of the above screen shot, you might not see them but there are 2 Forges and 2 Training Camps. They are not at maximum level currently because that can wait a bit. The 2 that can't wait so much are the Stronghold and the Training Camps. You'd want to be able to produce heroes for various uses as quickly as possible. So be sure you have plenty of Farms and Mines to handle things. The recommendation is to get your Stronghold and Training Camps as high leveled as you can first. You won't be able to upgrade any of the other buildings beyond the Stronghold's level. So it has the highest upgrading priority. Next would be the Training Camps. Next are your Farms, Mines, and their storage buildings. Lastly on the upgrade priorities list is the Forges you have.

Empires And Puzzles Trainer Hero

Another question is raised with all this building in Empires & Puzzles: RPG Quest. Why should you have more than 1 Training Camp and 1 Forge? Simply put, this allows you to craft multiple battle items at the same time. It's the same idea when it comes to Training Camps. Both structures only allow you to train or craft 1 item at a time. This is even though you can craft many of the same items and/or train many of the same heroes at the same time. But various items and hero training require different items to be started. So while 1 Forge is crafting Hit Point potions (HP pots) another can be crafting Mana Point potions (MP pots). It's the same idea for Training Camps. One training session could require practice swords and food. Another can only require food in the other Training Camp. There was nothing stopping you from using both at the same time!

2. Tips And Tricks For Team Building

Just a heads up here: How you gain your heroes is entirely up to you. If you buy 1 or more from the Summoning Portal, it will be randomly given. If you train 1 or more, it will also be randomly given. All heroes shown in the below screen shots are showing at their maximum levels (full power). For easy reference in this guide, the hero slots on your team are labeled from 1 to 5, left to right.

Team building in Empires & Puzzles: RPG Quest is quite the trick to preform. Again, the randomness of things can really help a lot more than its given credit for. Yes, the game is heavily based on 'luck of the draw'. Thankfully you can still use this. However, it was always on you to use what you have and not sit around hoping for all 5 star heroes all the time! You might think you're having the most rotten luck in pulling heroes or troops. But as it turns out, you were simply looking at it the wrong way. Even pulling a very strong hero right from the start can hurt. Imagine you did get a very strong hero right from the start. Now how are you planning to upgrade it fully when you can't or didn't get to the section(s) of the game that allow you to loot the requirements for those upgrades?! What might seem like a very strong hero to have can easily get torn to pieces if it's not at full power.

Then again, luck of the draw can in fact make your seemingly weak team still win against stronger opponents. Notice how you have to attack using a match 3 or more puzzle system. But those attacks can lead to combination attacks. This means the next attacks in line will hit harder. You'd be very surprised how many times this can outright kill an opponent for both PvE and PvP modes. So with some decent timing, looking first, and luck, you can still win. That and it can be very fun to watch the combo multiplier just keep on going! You have no idea until it already happens what will pop out of the bottom of your screen for attacking. And you better believe this can land you an automatic or a very close to automatic win.

But when it comes to the heroes involved, there are combinations that can really put some serious hurt on your target(s). Just remember that when you attempt to pull/buy/draw/same things a hero from the Summoning Portal, you could end up with 'total garbage'. You can also end up with something really great! In any case, be sure to know how that hero works before you decide what you ended up with. The next part to remember when building a team is to have 1 of each element only. If you have none of a certain element on your team, that element on the board will hit for next to nothing no matter what you do. The last part to remember for team building is the placement of your heroes on each team is very important.

First we have to check out some heroes.

The above screen shot shows Friar Tuck. At first glance he seems like a pretty good healer to have on your team with multiple effects. Unfortunately, he's not nearly as good as you think. Upon closer inspection, he only heals himself and nearby team members. This means at best only 3 out of the 5 team members get his heals and effects. Again, you have to know how your heroes work. So if Friar Tuck is your only healer, place him in slot 2 or 4 for the most gains from him.

When you check Vivica, you'll see all allies get healed, defense increase, and the removal of negative effects. It sounds pretty good because it is. However, you'll have to note that the healing applied is a percentage of the target's maximum HP. So when using a hero such as Vivica, you should attach troops with more attack boost on her. Attach troops with more HP boost on your 'front man/tanker' (slot 3 hero). Always place healers such as Vivca, or similar heroes, in either slot 1 or 5. This does help their chances of survival.

Healers in Empires & Puzzles: RPG Quest are certainly a very large help and part of your teams. However, there are other options for team building. It just depends on what you managed to gain. You can setup crippling teams, never die teams, destroyer teams, and combinations of the mentioned to name a few setups. Just remember that certain effects do not stack. For example, damage boosting effects. Those effects do not stack. However, damage dealing effects do stack! You'll see the icon(s) on the heroes as indicated.

First up for specific teams in Empires & Puzzles: RPG Quest, we'll take a look at a crippling team.

The above screen shot shows Isarnia. Seems like a pretty strong hero, right?! That's because she is. A lot more than what you might initially think. That 235% damage to all enemies is pretty nice. But it's that brutal defense drop that all enemies also take for up to 6 turns which makes Isarnia all kinds of great to have on your crippling team. Now mix her or Ulmer into a team with Justice or Li Xiu or Hu Tao, and Carver or Horghall or Skittleskull or Little John. The idea is to literally cripple the opponent. While you're at it, cripple their entire team because the effects of these heroes will spread to all enemies. Even if the opponent could attack, they'll either hit with the destructive force of a wet noodle or end up killing themselves. Placing a hero such as Boril or Elena or Cyprian in slots 2 or 4 can certainly help with the opponent not wanting to attack!

So how does the never die team work in Empires & Puzzles: RPG Quest? Initially it starts with a good healer. Of course Vivica immediately comes to mind. However, there are other healers that can also get the job done. For the most part, have at least 1 healer that can heal all allies at the minimum. From there, it's a matter of getting the self-healers (they have a vampiric effect).

Renfeld seems like an ordinary 3 star hero. But even as such, he can be very hard to kill. His mana speed isn't bad so he can use his skill fairly quickly. The fun part is that he's certainly not the only hero that can do this! Prisca, Graymane, Elkanen, and Leonidas can do the same thing. So if you mix in a damage boosting hero or an enemy defense reducing hero, your team will be awful hard to defeat. Just be sure to attach damage boosting troops to self-healing heroes.

The destroyer team in Empires & Puzzles: RPG Quest is as the name implies. You want a couple of heroes that can hit all and keep on hitting.

Of course, Azlar comes to mind as one of the heaviest hitters for the job. And yes, there are others that can do the same. Even heroes such as Colen, Jahangir and Oberon can do the same attack as Azlar. Again, it's all in which heroes you can get but also in working with what you have. There's a real nifty trick to destroyer teams. Be sure to add a defense reduction hero to your destroyer team. The defenses and the buffs of your opponents are accounted for when using damage dealing effects. The reflect damage effect is not applied since the damage dealing effect is not a direct attack. But if you have a couple of high damage dealing effects applied to your opponents for each turn, they won't last long at all. One turn is simply one match of 3 or more of the same color. So yes, it can be pretty quick. Also note that most heroes don't have massively high HP. So with Azlar on your team, even at only 100damage dealt for each turn because of their defense, the opponents won't last long! These damage dealing effects are not the only thing hitting your opponent!

3. Extra Tips, Tricks And Strategies For Your Benefits

City building and team build are only part of Empires & Puzzles: RPG Quest. Small Giant Games didn't want to you to feel like the game is limited like that! Two factor authentication office 365 outlook 2016 for mac. So to make this strategies guide more helpful to you, here's a collection of various tips and tricks anyone can use.

First up would be the forever popular Raid. This is a PvP setup for you to gain trophies and various materials. The initial idea is to have a strong defense team. By defense team we mean the team an opponent would fight against when they attack you in the Raid. As it turns out, you want the exact opposite of a strong defense team! The truth is that you want to lure opponents to you with a 'weaker' team. The best bet is to have a defense team that's not so strong but also not a giveaway. So when opponents with a lower team power rating compared to your main team defeat you, you'll end up gaining a lot more when you click the Revenge button. Don't worry about your trophies. They'll come back via the use of the Revenge button a lot faster than you think!

Your Raid rounds should be mostly done via using the Revenge button. However, if you have no suitable opponents left found in the Watchtower, you will have to go after opponents using the Raid button. When you go after an opponent found in the Raid, make sure you check it first before wasting food trying to reroll for another opponent. The opponent might have a stronger team. The opponent might have a higher level. That still should not stop you from attacking someone. What should stop you is you being 100% convinced that you can't win against that opponent because your team can't counter theirs!

When you attack an opponent, either in PvE or PvP, you stand the chance of damaging it, filling its mana bar, or killing it outright. The important part here is trying to damage it without filling its mana bar too much/quickly. The problem is that some heroes/enemies will just fill up with mana quickly no matter what happens. Luck of the draw on your game board also plays a part in this. So do check mana speeds of heroes as much as possible. Your best bet for attacking is to use everything but the weak element against the target(s). The weak element against any target will do little/lesser damage but fill its mana bar at the same speed as other elements being used to attack. So it survives and gains mana to use against you. That's the exact opposite of what you want! Also note that you can 'waste' attacks trying to get better elements or something for an attack to show up in position. This does no damage to the opponent(s) but it does help fill your mana bars. The attack direction refers to an attack being launched from a horizontal or vertical or both standpoint. This comes in very handy for trying to miss a target and during Titan battles.

Empires & Puzzles: RPG Quest wouldn't be nearly as fun if the developers didn't include the Friends and Alliance systems. Then again, most games wouldn't be nearly as fun! The Friends system is pretty much used at your leisure. However, the Alliance system should be used as soon as possible. Getting into an Alliance is easy. Getting into a good Alliance is a bit tricky. But it's not hard to find out what you're in. Join an Alliance and just watch what's going on in there. All it takes is reading the Alliance chat window. If you see a lot of chat, especially about Empires & Puzzles: RPG Quest, there's a good chance you're in a good Alliance. Otherwise, you should consider moving on and finding another Alliance.

The best part about an Alliance in Empires & Puzzles: RPG Quest is being able to join Titan battles. To be able to have more success in a Titan battle, look for the marked Weak Spot and hit it as much as possible. You have to try to stun the Titan via hitting the Weak Spot 3 times from 1 attack. The easiest way to do this is a single vertical based attack. However, you will find yourself facing moments when this attack isn't available. At that point, find the heaviest hit you can and use it. Also note that luck of the draw can be very helpful or render the whole board useless. It just depends on your luck! So you could end up hitting the Weak Spot repeatedly from clear across the board where you launched from. You could also miss the Titan completely depending on what's available. The biggest problem is to be quick while attacking a Titan. You are on a timer in there! Even if you are just starting in Empires & Puzzles: RPG Quest, every attack against the Titan helps. So do yourself a favor and participate when you see a Titan available. Don't worry about your team being 'weak' or new. Just be sure to aim for the Weak Spot and you can do well in there!

Empires And Puzzles Tier List
